“The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.”  (Robert Burns)   I am a planner.  I like to think ahead to predict what the future will be like and then plan accordingly.  It has often been said that if we fail to plan then we plan to fail.  What do you do in unprecedented times like these?  You can make plans today only to have them changed tomorrow.  At this point there is no predicting the future, because we have never been here before in the past. The closest example in recent times is the swine flu epidemic of 1918.   The advances that have been made over the past few weeks can regress faster than we have progressed to this point.  We are navigating unchartered waters.  It is leaving those making decisions in a state of indecision because there are not clear cut directions being issued by our government.  I believe the majority of the people want to do what is right for the health and well-being of everyone.  I believe the government officials want to make the right decisions but cannot agree upon what that is.  I feel for anyone having to make these decisions and pray for them daily. 

 

1. Phase I will be initiated on Sunday morning May 17^th.  We will be offering three opportunities to attend a worship service.
2. 8:15 service.  If you have always attended the early service, please attend this service.
3. 9:30 service. If your last name begins with A – M, please attend this service.
4. 10:45 service. If your last name begins with N – Z, please attend this service.
5. There will NOT BE Sunday School, Children’s Church, or Nursery.
6. If you are sick in any way or a high risk person, we are asking you to stay home. Services will continue to be offered through the church web-site and Facebook page.
7. Please sit together as a family.
8. Every other pew will be taped off.  Please do not sit in these pews.
9. Useable pews will be taped off in 6ft increments.
10. Whereas families may sit together, we ask all others to sit 6ft. apart.
11. Upon conclusion of the service, please exit the building quickly so cleaning can take place before the next service begins.  Feel free to talk outside, practicing social distancing.
12. There will NOT BE Sunday night or Wednesday night services at the church. We will continue to offer devotionals and Wednesday night Bible Study on line.  Many Sunday School classes are meeting on-line and I hope others will begin. 
13. As the virus subsides and the situation improves, plans will be made to implement Phase II of the process. Phase II will be initiating Sunday School start up, Children’s Church, and Nursery.
14. Phase III will be initiating Sunday Night and Wednesday Night services, as well as special events.  This will only be done when we are given the green light by the government to resume everything as normal.
